Does the Industry’s unspoken rule, “Never Tell an Actor the Truth” really hold?  Ever get the feeling you’re not being told everything by the industry?  An upfront, honest, not “false-honest” content presented in a positive point of view.  Not meant to be bitch sessions, cruel or mean-spirited, but to be upfront in how the industry frankly views the talent and in doing so, know what you really need to know to help yourself and what you really are in for.

Every actor will also audition with each instructor/industry professional, receive feedback and do re-directs.

All the mysteries, misconceptions and half-truths that are holding back your career will be swept away and replaced with a crystal clear understanding of the industry and how you can successfully make it work for you.  This is a game changer.

Because of the confidential nature of this Program’s topics and ensuing discussions, all students must sign an NDA.  $625.00

Lori Malkin, Richard Jordan & David Title:

  • Tuesdays 7:00p – 9:30p
  • April 24; May 1, 8, 15 & 22
  • Classes held at Scott Powers Studios.

This is a professional-level five-week intensive conducted by the NEXT GENERATION CASTING DIRECTORS Lori Malkin [Paladino Casting] and Richard Jordan [Richard Jordan Casting]. This is a program guaranteed unlike any other program you have experienced. For each of their individual two weeks, Lori and Richard will work with film and TV and even new media sides chosen specifically for you that they are currently casting that they feel they could call you in to read for.

Lori and Richard have contrasting offices yet provide unique, complimentary assets that work in actors’ favor that other casting directors don’t have: they work with relative unknowns, seek out unrepresented talent, go to sets of actors they have cast, prep actors in the style of the director if they should get the job, detailed insights on tips and tricks on working the successful audition and working successfully on the set. And most important: actually call in and book actors they have trained. Students also will become self-taping savvy by doing a self-taping submission technically reviewed with recommendations by Bravo Media Producer David Title and then submitted again for performance review by Lori Malkin.  You will receive training and career guidance found nowhere else.  $525.00

“I love teaching at Scott Powers.  Everyone is always so warm and welcoming and Scott always goes out of his way to make everyone feel so comfortable.  I love the intimacy of his boot camps and how easy it is to relay my knowledge to his very talented actors.  The actors that work with Scott always feel like a family and its a pleasure to work with them.”  ~ Lori Malkin

“What I like about Scott’s school is that I meet a true diversity of emerging actors both in age and experience whereas many other schools have nothing but good looking kids in their 20’s. It’s also a school aimed at the professional trying to get more work so I am able to provide my feedback to them as someone who hires actors for a living on what’s working for them and what is not-a type of fine tuning.  They come in already knowing how to act so I can teach them more advanced work finding related skills that some of the other schools skip out on.”  ~ Richard Jordan
